Liebchen has really been coming along this summer! I've attached two pictures. The first is from a clinic I took her to early this summer. The jump is airy so it looks small, and Liebchen makes them all look small, but it's 3'3". I haven't jumped her any higher than that yet because she's still just learning, but she's going to make one heck of a jumper. She's learning how to find her own distances and get her changes; she's so smart!

She is really doing great!!! Every time I ride her she improves by leaps and bounds. She has started jumping small jumps and trots or canters right up to ANYTHING! We have put brush and flowers on the standards, and on top of the poles and we've put barrels and flowers underneath the jumps and she has yet to bat an eye!
But today, she did the most amazing thing of all! After our ride I let her go for a walk outside of the ring (the first time I had ever even ridden her outside of the ring was yesterday). She edged towards the cross country jumps, so I let her walk over a log that was about 18 inches high. She did it so happily that I let her come around and jump it. Once she landed, she cantered one stride and then I looked to the left and began to turn my body slightly and she did a PERFECT AUTOMATIC LEAD CHANGE! I couldn't believe it!!!
She is just so wonderful! Thank you so much for her!!!! I can't wait for you to see this picture that we got of her today! I was really hoping that I'd be able to get a really good picture of her before I had to go back to school, and this is it! (Katie 1/08)
